Ramiro Flores

Born January 12, 1977. Instrument: Sax. Alto Ramiro Flores is an Argentine saxophonist and composer. He is also one of Argentina’s most prominent jazz musicians. After winning the 80mundos Foundation award, he recorded, produced, and released “Flores” his first solo album. He has worked with some of Argentina’s most prominent jazz musicians, such as Mariano Otero and Pepi Tveira, Javier Malosetti and Delfina Oliver. He attended Berklee College of Music in the United States. He studied there with world-renowned teachers like George Garzone, Joe Lovano and Bill Pierce. He also played with his own band and collaborated with Mr. Vivo Big Band in New York City. He was also a composer for American Music Co. and Music Sales Corp. He was named Jazz Revelation of the year by the Clarion Awards jury in December 2007. From allaboutjazz
