Randolph Tressler, a singer, guitarist, and pianist, lives in Chicago. He works with Ron Dewar and Lin Halliday, as well as Kurt Elling and Robert Barry, Sun Ra drummers. He regularly plays with John Brumbach, saxophonist, and Dennis Carroll at Andy’s Jazz Club, Katerina’s, as well as appearing at Green Dolphin Street and Redhead Piano Bar. He began a long-lasting collaboration with Robert Mazurek, a cornetist, in 1993. The group featured Eric Alexander on sax and George Fludas on drums. John Webber was on bass. Tressler has performed at several festivals in the British Isles including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Dunoon Jazz Festival. He also recorded three CDs for Hep Records of Scotland. Tressler is still a highly sought-after accompanist to Chicago-based vocalists Frank D’Rone and Kimberly Gordon as well as Elaine Dame and Francine Griffin. He has recorded with Dave Spector, blues guitarist. Tressler splits his time between Chicago, France and Nice, France where he has performed alongside Marc Peillon, bassist Marc Chaumont and Art Johnson, a great guitarist. http://itimusic.com
