Ray Obiedo, a contemporary jazz guitarist, has never been more passionate about the San Francisco Bay Area’s musical character than in his new CD, Latin Jazz Project Vol 1. It was released on the Rhythmus Records label nationwide. Obiedo grew up in the East Bay and recognized his deep, soulful musical connection with the region of Northern California. It’s no surprise that Obiedo has released many albums and recorded many successful albums over the years. Ray has been a rising star in contemporary jazz, expressing his originality and delivering exciting performances at festivals across the country. Obiedo, who is a proprietor of Werewolf Recording Studios located in the Oakland Hills, recalled his childhood fondest memories while relaxing at the studio. He recalled the many trips across the bay that he made to the Fillmore Auditorium.
