The quality of the musicians in Scotland’s jazz scene is strong. The Scottish National Jazz Orchestra (Scottish National Youth Jazz Orchestra) and The Scottish National Jazz Orchestra (Scottish National Jazz Orchestra) continue to be lauded, as well as a variety of individuals and important groups. This disc features the first graduates of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s full-time jazz program, which is the first in Scotland. Tommy Smith is the Artistic Director and Professor of Jazz at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
