René Thomas

Belgian jazz-guitarist, one of the best in Europe. Born in Liege, Belgium on February 25, 1927. Born February 25, 1927 in Liege, Belgium. Died January 03, 1975, Santander (Spain). He began his career right after World War 2. He settled in Paris in 1950. He moved to Canada in 1956 and was among the most prominent musicians of his era. He returned to Europe in 1962, and died in Spain in 1974. You can hear Rene Thomas as a sideman on records such as Stan Getz and Chet Baker, Chet Baker, Kenny Clarke and Eddy Louiss. He released 4 albums under his name: one as a co-leader with Bobby Jaspar, and one with Jacques Pelzer. From discogs
