Caracas-Venezuela musician who has released three solo albums. The “Selection Of The Month” featured the first “Bartok’s Room”, a French company publishing it. It received great reviews from countries like Austria, Germany, Japan, Germany and Argentina. The first part of a trilogy, “Mitxelena III : Nauthiz”, is later published. A compilation of pieces for two short films made in Australia by Marcel Rasquin (“Ring”) and “Happy Endings”) was then published as “Musica de pelicula (2.004). Since 2.004, he has been a member of Laurent LeCuyer’s jazz fusion quartet. They have performed together in many venues and Jazz festivals. He joins “Bacalao Men”, and continues to work with them until 2.007. Rigel has worked as a session musician with many national and international artists (Soul Machine –Mallorca -JeMM -Aruba -, Divine Roque Valero, Roque Valero, Elisa Roque, Roque Valero, Elisa Rego, Kiara, Victor Munoz, Los Hidalgo, Angel James, Ciudad Satelite ). Mitxelena also assisted in audio editing and mastering several works, including the “Solo Bass” (2.003) by Oscar Fanega, a Venezuelan bass player.
