Roberto Genco, a Calabrian drummer, recorded and released his first album, Beyond the Life (Oltre la vita), in 1977. The LP has excellent technical and recording quality considering that it is a private production. It contains five tracks with English lyrics and was sung by Genco, along with very talented musicians such as guitarist Giorgio Cocilovo, and Hugo Heredia, sax and flute player.
