Ron Affif

Ron Affif was the nephew of Ron Anthony, a guitarist who played with Frank Sinatra and George Shearing. He received his first lesson in guitar from his uncle at age 12. After graduating from high school, he moved to Los Angeles, where he played with Dave Pike and Pete Christlieb. He also recorded a quartet for the R.A. Records label, in 1987. He moved to New York two years later and has remained a leader ever since. Pablo has released several excellent albums featuring Affif. He is a great bop-based guitarist, whose style was influenced by Joe Pass and George Benson. From www.allmusic.com
