Roxana Amed is a singer and songwriter who was born in Buenos Aires. She has been living in the United States since 2013. Six albums and one DVD have been released by Roxana Amed. They include LIMBO (2004) and ENTREMUNDOS (2006), which she produced with Pedro Aznar. Sony Music US Latin has released her albums. The Carlos Gardel Award in Argentine Music and Martin Fierro Awards for best song in a TV Production were presented to her. She is also well-known for writing songs for other artists. She has had extensive collaborations with Pedro Aznar (an Argentine multi-instrumentalist and veteran of Pat Metheny Band) who produced Amed’s first albums. She has worked with musicians in NY such as Emilio Solla and Guillermo Klein. She has performed at iconic venues such as The Jazz Gallery and Dizzy’s Club at Lincoln Center. With Brazilian pianist Andre Mehmari, a tribute was made to Astor Piazzolla during the Buenos Aires International Jazz Festival in 2017. In 2021, an album will be released of the performance.
