Rüdiger Baldauf

Rudiger Baldauf, born 31 January 1961 in Bensberg (North Rhine-Westphalia), is a German jazz musician and trumpet player, composer, and arranger. History 1980: secondary-school examinations Nicolaus Cusanus Gymnasium in Bergisch Gladbach. 1981 – 1985 Conservatory Koln 1985 – 1988: Scholarship holder at Herbert von Karajan Stiftung Berlin for Classic Trumpet (professors Robert Platt u0026 Ack van Rooyen). Baldauf was on tour with Maceo, Joe Zawinul and Shirley Bassey and Udo Jurgens. 1989-99: Professor for jazz trumpet at Conservatory Koln 1999-2002: member, U.J.K.N Orchestra 1992-2010: Baldauf was a regular guest in many German big bands, including the WDR Big Band Koln. Baldauf also contributed to over 100 studio albums. Baldauf was a member of RTL Allstars, the band that hosted the first German Comedy TV program called RTL Samstag Nacht. Baldauf has been playing the trumpet in Stefan Raab’s Tonight Show TV Total since 2003 in heavy tones. Baldauf’s first solo album, Own Style, was released in June 2010. He was accompanied by a number of prominent guests, including Nils Landgren and Till Bronner, Andy Haderer, Andy Haderer, Max Mutzke, and Ack van Rooyen. Music Baldauf received a classical education, but he was drawn to Jazz, Funk, and Soul at an early age.
