Ruslan Sirota

Ruslan Sirota, a Grammy Award-winning composer and pianist, hails from Uman in Ukraine. Ruslan Sirota moved to Israel in 1990. He attended the Bat-Yam Music Conservatory and won numerous jazz and piano competitions. Confusion, his jazz-fusion band, also performed throughout the country. Confusion’s 1998 album Customade was released. It is still one of Israel’s most loved jazz-fusion albums. Ruslan started attending the Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA, on a full tuition scholarship. In 2004, Ruslan joined The Stanley Clarke Band, and moved to Los Angeles. Ruslan was awarded the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Jazz Album in 2001 on behalf of the entire group. Along with his work with Clark Ruslan continues to tour with, perform, and record with major artists like Chick Corea and Marcus Miller, NeYo, Brian McKnight, Seal, and Brian McKnight.
