Scott Kinsey

Scott Kinsey is a keyboardist best known for his work with Tribal Tech, an electric jazz band that won critical acclaim. He first became interested in synths when he was just ten years old. His father was a jazz pianist who had a passion to create new synth technology and gave him the encouragement and equipment he needed to start his career. Scott was studying jazz piano at Berklee College of Music when a friend suggested him to a well-known group in search of a keyboardist. Kinsey made a positive impression on the group and was soon on his way to his first gig with Tribal Tech. Scott has also toured the world with Tribal Tech, and performed with jazz legends Kurt Rosenwinkel (The Enemies Of Energy), Bill Evans, Robben For, Philip Bailey (Soul On Jazz), Gary Willis Band, WDR Big Band, The Free Association, David Holmes Presents The Free Association), Garsed/Helmerich, Uncle Moe’s Space Ranch), Norrbotten Big Band, Future Miles, Tim Hagans (Animation Imagination), Bob Belden, Black Dahlia), Matt Garrison, Garrison (Family), Matt Garrison (Family), and Garrison (Family), Matt Garrison (Family), and Garrison (Family), and Garrison (Family), and Garrison (Family), and Garrison (Fami) and others. Kinsey also lends his production talents to Philip Bailey (Soul On Jazz) and Joseph Zawinul (“Faces and Places”). He has also ventured into film music in recent years, where he worked with David Holmes, the composer, as the primary keyboardist for the scores of Ocean’s Eleven, and Analyze That. His debut solo album is in the works, and will include Steve Tavaglione (Vinnie Colaiuta), Arto Tuncboyaciyan(Arto Tuncboyaciyan), Robert Hurst), Cyril Atef/Kurt Rosenwinkel, and many others.
