Serhan Erkol studied at Istanbul Bilgi University with Ricky Ford, Lawrence Morris, Donovan Mixon and Ali Perret. He has performed in Turkey and abroad with Ricky Ford Orchestra and Donovan Mixon Quartet. In 2014, he graduated from Istanbul Bilgi University. He received the Fulbright Scholarship upon graduation and was admitted to the New England Conservatory Contemporary Improvisation Masters program. He studied with George Garzone and Joe Morris, as well as Jerry Bergonzi, Allen Chase and Joe Morris. In 2016, he released “Motel atm”, his first album.
