Seymour Wright, saxophonist and investigator, lives in London. Seymour Wright’s practice is all about the saxophone. It includes music, history, technique, and an ongoing, thorough, and exhaustive exploration of the instrument. This energy is used to create various contexts and collaborations that allow access/share the “awkward wealth” of his investigation. Seymour Wright, Seymour Writes back (2015), and Is this Right? are three of his self-published books. (2017). XT is his latest collaboration. (with Evie Ward), an ongoing ‘quartet” collaboration with Paul Abbott and Cara Tolmie, Will Holder, as well as a transatlantic collaboration with Anne Guthrie.
