Signe Bisgaard

Signe Bisgaard, a young pianist and composer from Denmark, is one of the recipients. Her music has been played at international jazzfestivals, jazzclubs, and jazzclubs throughout Europe, including Denmark (Germany), Norway, the Czech Republic, and the Netherlands. She has received numerous composer grants. Signe is a graduate of the Advanced Postgraduate Diploma In Rhytmic Composition, which is the highest level of composition education. Signe is a composer and conductor of large ensembles and bigbands. Bisgaard is an orchestra consisting of 11 musicians who play her music. It was founded by Shelge Norbakken, a Norwegian percussionist, and Christian Vuust, a Danish tenorsax-player. The orchestra combines jazz and new classical music and includes Panagiota Zagoura, a classical violinist from Greece, and Dorte Rolfff-Petersen, a Danish cellist.
