Joseph Sammut’s son Simon Sammut is a well-known Maltese composer and conductor. Simon comes from a musical background. Simon began his studies as a child and went on to study music education at higher levels. After years of studying piano, Simon began playing electric bass when he was thirteen. He was captivated at the sounds of famous bass players like Jaco Pastorius and Francis Rocco Prestia of Tower of Power or Verdine White of Earth Wind.
