Tunisian-born, Parisian musician Jean-Pierre Smadja (Smadj), grew up listening and singing to folk, Brazilian, Oriental, funk, soul, soul, and soul music. Smadj, who was 15 years old, entered a jazz school due to his passion for the guitar. His musical development was marked by the transformation of traditional jazz styles into new sounds.
