SNAKE OIL was founded in 2004 as a French experimental rock band by Daniel JEAND’HEUR (the drummer for another MAGMA offshoot called ONE SHOT), Greg THEVENIAU, Boris BLANCHET and Roman NASSINI (Fender Rhodes) – all of whom were already well-known in the French jazz / rock scene. Their debut album, “Doustrian Dance”, was released in November 2005. Since another Magmoid/One Shotter James Mac GAW (guitarist) joined them in 2007, they have become a quintet.
