Spin, a spin-off of Ekseption, was founded in 1974. Rein van den Broek, Dik Vennik and other members of Ekseption had different opinions about the music. They formed a new group. The line-up also included Hans Jansen, Ekseption’s session musician, and Hans Hollestelle who played on an Ekseption record. Hans Hollestelle, Hans’ brother, and Cees Kranenburg completed the band. Spin’s music is jazz-rock, and less on the classics. Although they recorded two albums, neither was very popular.
