St. Germain

French producer Ludovic Navarre was one of few to attempt a real fusion between jazz and house music. He began recording in early ’90s under various aliases (Subsystem Modus Vivendi Deepside), for a variety of French imprints. Laurent Garnier released St. Germain’s debut album in 1994, and Navarre released Boulevard in 1996. The album featured Pascal Ohse as the trumpeter. It was a mix of American R and American Jazz.
