Standard Procedure was founded by Sam Knight and consists of current students and Guildhall School of Music graduates. Standard Procedure is a London-based jazz quartet that focuses on the ‘dark corners of Jazz. Our goal is to communicate emotion and preserve the legacy of Jazz, from ferocious Rock grooves, to lyrical Folk songs, to convey emotion in a new, fresh way. Our inspirations come from musicians such as Miles Davis, Ian Carr’s Nucleus and Julian Siegel.
