Stefano Sabatini

Stefano Sabatini is a versatile and skilled pianist and a talented composer. He started his jazz experience by founding “Kaleidon” with Tony Scott and Massimo Urbani. After completing an academic course in composition and arrangement at the Dick Grove School of Music, he moved to Los Angeles. He also recorded an album in Los Angeles with some California musicians, including Chester Thompson (Weather Report) and Frank Zappa. After six years living in the USA, he returned to Rome and joined the “Lingomania”, the first band that included Roberto Gatto, Flavio Boltro and Furio di Castri. The magazine Musica Jazz voted them “Best Band” and they were awarded the “Radio Uno Sera Jazz” award. Sabatini also played with the bands of Massimo, Giovanni Tommaso and Tullio de Piscopo. and “Va Pensiero”) Rick Margitza and Sonny Fortune. Ronnie Cuber and Alex Sipiagin were also present.
