Steve Cole

Steve Cole, a saxophonist, is one of the most prominent players in contemporary jazz. He made his debut in 1998 with “Stay AWillow,” which was produced by Brian Culbertson (also from Chicago). This disc had multiple #1 hits, earning Cole the Oasis Smooth Jazz Award as best new artist. It was shortly before his second album, “Between Us,” came out in 2000. He was instantly a radio favourite for his catchy singles and he continued to crank them out on his subsequent albums, “NY LA”, “Spin”, (2005), “True”, (2006), “True,” (2009), Moonlight” (2009) and “True” (2013). On his new album, Gratitude, he expresses gratitude to his collaborators, fans, family members, friends, and loved ones. The album’s ten tracks showcase Cole’s infectious grooves and soulful melodies as well as his pop hooks. Steve is a solo artist and has recorded/performed with Junior Wells and Buddy Guy, Boz Scaggs and Larry Carlton. He has also performed with Jeff Lorber and Jim Peterik. Steve is also a founder of The Sax Pack, which includes Jeff Kashiwa and Kim Waters. When he isn’t on the road, Dr. Cole is a Teaching Fellow and Clinical Professor at the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota. from https://stevecole.net
