The jazz funk group tuff was an active New York band in the late 1970s and early 80s. The band consisted of Gordon Edwards (bass), Richard Tee, Cornell Dupree (guitar), Eric Gale and Chris Parker (drums), with later Steve Gadd (drums). Stuff was a group made up of jazz-savvy session musicians who embraced the concept of less is more. In effect, the result was one of the most important R’s ever.
