He is a clarinettist, composer, and arranger. He was born in 1956 and became a professional musician in 1976. In 1977, he is awarded a bachelor of arts degree in Musicology. He performs with the Trio (John SURMAN/Barre PHILLIPS/Stu MARTIN) at the Danse Workshop of Carolyn Carlson in Villeneuve les Avignon. Gerard SIRACUSA founded the quartet MOLTO MOBILE ยป with Bernard VITET, Emmanuel JANIN in 1980. He has been playing since 1978 with Sam RIVERS and Evan PARKER as well as Louis SCLAVIS, Han BENNINK and Dominique PIFARELY. He is the leader of his own groups: quartet, octet SKA
