SYLVAN STREET is a jazz fusion band featuring eight acclaimed musicians. They perform funk-infused originals that feature pulsing bass grooves and powerful drums. Sylvan Street’s energetic, rhythmic, aggressive sound is influenced by everything, from Weather Report to Horace Silver and Talking Heads. The dynamic songwriting of the group draws from jazz, popular music standards and rock and roll. It is infused with Latin rhythms and urban techno beats, blues, jump swing and blues.
