Talking Drums, a Connecticut-based group, mixes Ghanaians with Americans. Some of their material is original, while others are self-composed. The idiom is essentially enriched highlife. It has a strong traditional component but also solo work that would not be possible to be played by a Ghana-based group. It’s a unique and rich mix that is outstanding.
