Tamy’s singing career began in Vitoria in Brazil in 2002. In 2006, Tamy released her first album. She toured Europe, Japan and Angola as a result. After appearing in the theme song of “Living Life”, Tamy’s next CD, “Tamy,” was released in 2008. Tamy has been a part of the “Music Prize Brazil”, an prestigious awards program, and collaborated with top Brazilian musicians. Tamy’s third album, “Caieira”, was recorded in Rio de Janeiro by a notable local artist. One of the tracks was also featured in “A Onda da Vida”, a Brazilian film. Another song, “Mae Africa,” features Lokua Kanza, a Congolese musician. The album features the bright, cheerful bossa nova sounds that Americans love since Astrud Gilberto (“Girl from Ipanema”) days. These melodies transport us back to the endless summer on the Brazilian coast. They can be enjoyed by all music lovers, including pop, jazz, and “tropical singer/songwriters”.
