Taupe is a Newcastle upon Tyne-based trio that specializes in razor-sharp, polyrhythmic play and exploratory improvisation. Taupe’s sound is a blend of many influences, including free jazz, math metal, hip-hop grooves, and post-bop. They also have a lot of skronk. Their music seeks to blur the lines between rhythmic compositions and spontaneous group improvisation.
