The Cloggz are a combination of tango, jazz, circus and classical music. They perform cinematic reimaginings of material by a variety of composers such as Brad Melhdau and Tom Waits. The band was founded by Mark Edwards (Katie Melua. Roddy Frame. Dave Stewart. Terry Callier. Incognito. Carleen Anderson). It features many of the UK’s top jazz musicians. They were featured on BBC R3’s ‘Jazz Line Up’ and Mark Edwards’ solo album “In Deep” was Jamie Cullum’s pick for the month on BBC’s JazzHouse. “Engaging, delightfully quirky, a cohesive bridge between jazz music and film music in an swaggering Kurt Weillish atmosphere.
