The Fabulous Counts was an American soul/funk band from Detroit, Michigan. After their 1968 formation, they gained local recognition as both an instrumental band and as a backing group for solo performers. They released “Jan Jan”, an instrumental on Detroit’s Moira records that year. It was produced by Richard “Popcorn” Wylie. The single narrowly missed the US R charts.
