The group was formed in 2000 and is one of the first to promote the Reductionist movement for improvised music. They spanned the two major cities of Berlin and London. Their first UK tour was described as “New London Silence meets Berlin Reductionism”. Twenty-five years later and seven albums later, The Sealed Knot has a musical palette that has grown and expanded but is still utterly original.
