Born October 10, 1994. Instrument: Tomer Bar, pianist/composer, was born in Israel October 10, 1994. He started playing the drums at three years of age in his father’s studio. At age seven, he began to play pop songs and at eight, he took up the piano. Ittai Rosenbaom (a well-known pianist, music teacher and pianist) introduced Tomer to Jazz music. He has been writing and performing music since then. This proves that our souls are deep and the human experience is part and parcel of every person, even young. Tomer is a pianist and a composer. He is also a hopeless romantic who is affected by Hebrew poetry and films. Tomer is heavily inspired by Bill Evans, Pat Metheny and Charlie Parker. He has published his debut album, “Memories”, which received outstanding reviews from critics and was presented at the Israel Festival 2007. It is a strange experience to listen to Tomer Bar. He has a mix of a mature musical quality and the dumbfounding talent of a child composer, musician and virtuoso. Allabout Jazz
