Trondheim Jazz Orchestra is one the most creative and important jazz groups in Norway. The orchestra has been involved in many exciting projects over the past thirteen years with international and norwegian jazz musicians such as Chick Corea and Joshua Redman. The Mid-Norway Centre of Jazz organizes new projects and initiates the orchestra. The orchestra operates as a musicians’ pool. This means that instrumentation and size can change from one project to the next. This allows for a wide range of music. One of Norway’s most recognizable jazz musicians is the member of this orchestra.
