Udo Panekeet graduated the Conservatory of Amsterdam. He was a member of the trio Isotope during his education. In 2002 he started his own quintet Pitch Pine Project, featuring Martijn van Iterson, Tom Beek, Chris Strik en Rob van Bavel. They received a lot of praise in the Netherlands and abroad. Pitch Pine Project performed at the North Sea Jazz Fetival two times, and even performed as a guest soloist with Randy Brecker in 2008. Udo joined the Tim Langedijk trio, with Hans van Oosterhout as drums. They’ve been together for more than eight years and have released four CDs. Jasper van t’ Hof, the pianist, collaborated on “November” while Udo played sideman with many formations. He was also involved in projects such as Tom Beek’s Bigtime and Bliss, as well as Ingeborg Holder’s Light Works. Udo teaches in the conservatories of Enschede, Haarlem, and Tilburg.
