In Turku, Vilkka Wahl Quintet was established in 2015. Wahl, a Turku-born jazz legend Severi Pyysalo, reunited that year and they teamed up with Teemu Akerblom and Mikko Arlin for a performance of Wahl’s compositions. This line-up also toured Southern Finland. The group was originally a quartet. Jure Pukl, a New York-based Slovenian Tenor Saxophonist, was invited to join them.
