Warren Wolf is a multi-instrumentalist from Baltimore,MD. Warren Wolf has been learning the Vibraphone/Marimba and Drums since he was three years old. Warren Wolf Sr. was his father and he has a rich background in all types of music. Warren began his studies in classical music by studying classical composers such as Bach, Beethoven and Mozart. He also studied Brahms, Vivaldi, Vivaldi, Paganini and Brahms. Warren also learned ragtime music by studying the songbooks of Harry Brewer, Scott Joplin and Geroge Hamilton. Warren studied jazz with Miles Davis, Miles Davis and Louis Armstrong. He also learned music from Clifford Brown and Herbie Hancock. Warren studied classical music at the Peabody Prepatory eight years with Leo LePage, a former member of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Warren was a Baltimore School for the Arts high school student and studied with John Locke, a current member of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Warren graduated from the Baltimore School for the Arts, June 1997. He then moved north to Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA. Warren spent seven of the eight semesters at Berklee studying with Dave Samuels, a Carribean jazz vibraphonist. Ed Saindon was his vibist. Warren explored jazz more deeply during his time at Berklee. Warren was helped by musicians like John Lamkin, Jeremy Pelt and Wayne Escoffery. Warren became an active performer in the Boston area thanks to these musicians, playing regularly on the Vibraphone and Drums, as well as the Piano. Warren’s time in Boston included co-leading a quintet led by Jason Palmer, a Boston-based trumpeter. This was at Wallys Cafe, a historic jazz club. Warren was Wallys’ house drummer for two years. He performed every Friday and Saturday. Warren graduated from Berklee College of Music in May 2001 and became an active member of the Boston music scene. Warren was hired by Berklee College of Music in September 2003 to teach percussion. Warren was able to teach private lessons on Vibraphone and Drums as well as a beginner keyboard class for students enrolled in the drumset program. Warren returned to Baltimore after two years of teaching at Berklee College of Music to pursue his primary goal of becoming a professional musician. Warren, who left Berklee to become a teacher has been given the role of piano player in the Rachael Price Group. Warren has been able to tour the United States with Rachael since recording and touring with her. Warren is currently Tia Fuller’s drummer of choice. She tours with Beyonce Knowles, an internationally-respected pop star. Warren is also part of the Donal Fox Group, which includes John Lockwood as bassist and Terri Lyne Carrington as drummers. Warren also tours and performs with Bobby Watson’s Live and Learn Sextet, Karriem Righgins’ “Virtuoso experience” and Christian McBride
