Weidorje

French Zeuhl Fusion Supergroup from the late 1970’s. Weidorje’s name was taken from a track on Magma 6 – Udu Wudu that featured Patrick Gauthier and Bernard Paganotti. The rest of the group included some of the most active session talent on Paris’s scene at that time. Although Weidorje was very Magma-influenced, they also incorporated elements of systemic and brass music (an element that was long lost in early Magma), giving them their distinctive sound. Weidorje only existed for a short time and they only made one album. There are sessions for a second album, but they were never finished. There are a few recordings of live performances, and two of them feature on the CD reissue. Almost everyone involved with Weidorje left to start other projects or release solo albums within a short time. From discogs
