Yago Vazquez, a Spanish pianist based in New York City is Yago Vazquez. He attended the Music Conservatory of Vigo and SPJ Pontevedra, as well as Estudio, Escola de Musica in Spain. In 2008, he moved to NYC to study at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. He graduated in 2010 with high honors. He has played in numerous jazz festivals throughout Europe, including Spain, Portugal and England. Yago Vazquez is featured on more than a dozen albums. He has performed with many musicians, including Reggie Workman and Billy Harper. Gilad Hekselman and Joe Martin. Ingrid Jensen, Brad Shepik and Jesse Davis. Yago released “Chorale”, a solo album, on Free Code Jazz Records 2011, with Logan Richardson and Aidan Carroll, as well as Tommy Crane.
