Yuji Toriyama, a Japanese musician, is known primarily as a guitarist or composer. Born in 1958, he started self-producing his first album while studying at Keio University in 1981. After developing theme songs for TV shows, he moved on to write official soundtracks for movies and games such as 1994 Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie. He is well-known in Final Fantasy as the composer of Symphonic Poem “Hope”, a promotional album for Final Fantasy XII with Taro Hakase.
